Telstra, Eftel announce staff changes
Telecom companies Telstra (ASX:ALZ) and Eftel (ASX:EFT) on Thursday both announced high-level staff changes.
Retail, wholesale and corporate ISP Eftel appointed Dodo Australia founder Larry Kestelman to its board as a non-executive director.
Kestelman is also a founder of ClubTelco, the Dodo spinoff which Eftel just acquired. Eftel also recently hired ClubTelco co-founder Scott Stravetis as its new CEO.
Dodo was founded in Melbourne in 2001. Kestelman is also a director of Dodo and Dodo Power and Gas, as well as four other companies.
Telstra said it had appointed its general counsel for finance and administration, Damien Coleman, as its new company secretary.
Coleman will replace Carmel Mulhern, who was recently appointed group general counsel, a position left vacant by the promotion of Will Irving to group managing director of Telstra Business.
But due to the preparatory work required for the shareholder vote on Telstra’s separation and participation in the NBN project, neither Mulhern or Coleman will take up the new roles until next year.
Telstra’s deputy group general counsel Simon Brookes will serve as acting group general counsel in the interim.
EFT shares stayed flat on Thursday at $0.030, as TLS shares dipped 0.66 per cent to $3.000.
