IT and telecom service provider Anittel (ASX:AYG) has appointed Michael O’Sullivan as its new chief operating officer.
O’Sullivan had previously been an executive at KAZ Group, the former venture of Anittel’s managing director, Peter Kazacos.
He has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry in a variety of commercial management roles.
Kazacos said he was looking forward to working with O’Sullivan again, noting that he has an “approach to business management that will greatly assist Anittel in this time of growth.”
Anittel specialises in providing voice, data, mobility, PBX, VoIP, IT, cloud and hosted services to SMBs.

Under a law passed by the legislature in March, taxpayers who underreported their California income tax liabilities through the use of abusive tax avoidance transactions (ATAT) or offshore financial arrangements (OFA) will be permitted to obtain a waiver of most penalties if they amend their returns for 2010 and all prior years in which there is underreported income. Taxpayers will be required to pay all tax and interest that is owed. Connecticut is poised to become the first state mandating that employers provide paid sick days for employees, and the battle lines include workers advocates on one side who see this as a turning point for employees when it comes to work-life balance, and business interests on the other side predicting the legislation would be costly and undermine companies during a shaky recovery.
The bill was approved by the Connecticut Senate last week and is now headed for the House. After the Senate passed the legislation, both sides came out swinging.
